How To Meal Prep Smoothies (with Recipe)

Did you know that you can prep your smoothies in advance, freeze them and then enjoy them throughout the week without all of the fuss? Yes, making a smoothie does not have to take 15 minutes a day.

All it takes is a very small amount of time to cut up the fruits and veggies. Then you store everything in containers (or bags) in the freezer. Take them out the night before you need them to defrost (although if you have a powerful blender like the Vitamix or Ninja, this step may not be necessary), add some liquid and blend.

You will not believe how easy it is to get a refreshing, nutrient dense smoothie into your cup until you try this method of meal prepping smoothies. And the recipe for the Greens Smoothie in this video tastes beyond delicious! Really, it is like freshness and flowers and sunshine and…ok anyway, it’s really good.

Although I am a fan of eating unblended foods for meals because you want your body to take it’s time to digest food and extract all the nutrients which will leave you full longer, smoothies do make a wonderful gap filler between meals or as part of a meal.
