Recipe: Healthy Chocolate Popsicles

You want a simple healthy chocolate popsicle recipe?  (Got it).

You want it to be quick to put together? (Got that too:-).

You want them to be crowd pleasing? (Done)!

This Healthy Chocolate Popsicle recipe is super fast to throw together and they make kids and adults very, very happy.

The avocado adds a really awesome creaminess to the popsicles and no…no one will know that it is an “avocado popsicle” if you don’t tell them!

Add maple syrup until you are satisfied with the taste. You can taste the mix when it is in the blender to make sure it is sweet enough. With the natural sweetness of the bananas, you should need very little (if any).

These are the type of popsicle makers that I recommend, because they are large enough that you can get a big popsicles and they are BPA free.

Chocolate Popsicles

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: none

Freeze time: 3 hours

  •  4 ripe bananas
  • ¼ cup unsweetened raw cocoa powder
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 drizzle of maple syrup (up to a 1/4 cup)
  1. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. It’s ok to leave it a bit chunky.
  2. Add mixture to popsicle maker and freeze for 3 hours or until frozen.
  3. Run popsicle maker under warm water to get the frozen popsicles out.

Makes 6-8 popsicles, depending on the size of your molds
